What is the Neubie?
The Neubie ("Neuro-Bio-Electric") is a patented, FDA-cleared and TGA-approved (ARTG ID 421852) direct current (DC) electrical stimulation device. Using DC has several unique effects on patients, including promoting tissue healing and optimising healing and repairing of bone, muscle, connective tissue, and nerves. While repairing and healing the body takes time, the Neubie is even better known for creating “Wow” moments with patients who make functional changes very quickly.
In a recent survey that assessed hundreds of patients, over 90% noticed tangible progress in their first session, including reductions in pain or spasticity, increases in range of motion, and improvements in strength and coordination. Another benefit of using the Neubie device is that it creates greater sensory and afferent neurological input to accelerate the process of neuromuscular re-education.
How does the Neubie work?

Identify
In response to trauma and injury, the nervous system goes into a guarding state, creating excessive tension in some muscles and inhibiting (or "turning off") others - all to reduce movement around an injury. It's a little counterintuitive, but this response delays the healing process by impeding blood flow and impairing the body's ability to rebuild. These signals to restrict movement leave the body more vulnerable, increasing the risk of re-injury. In this step, we use the Neubie to scan and identify precisely where these neurological guarding mechanisms are being imposed on the body.

Reset
Once we identify these areas, we stimulate them with the Neubie while performing various mobilisations and corrective exercises. During this treatment process, we harness the unique properties of the Neubie's direct current (DC) signal and its ability to create sensory neurological inputs that re-educate the nervous system. The inputs create signals from the exact areas where that neurological guarding is taking place, resetting the nervous system to reduce any excessive guarding and restore more normal, optimal function. The DC signal also accelerates the cells that control the rebuilding of the body's tissues, further assisting the natural healing process.

The Neubie sends electrical impulses through the skin to activate various tissues and structures in the body.
