When we experience tension, it often is not the muscles that are the issue but the nervous system signaling them to lock up and “protect.” In order to avoid a perceived risk of injury, our nervous systems will take away some range of motion in a joint by reducing the output of the muscles that move that joint.

By sending direct current stimulation to the right areas, it is possible to re-educate the nervous system to increase function and improve range of motion.
